FLORA OF ICELAND elements: Lomatogonium rotatum, Arctic Felwort, Blátsjarna

Lomatogonium rotatum; the Arctic felwort is a small Gentian plantlet (about 10 to 15 cm.) that often grows near rivers. It is more common in the north but also grows along the rivers in the south and elsewhere. It can be recognized by the large petals (around buds) and violet flowers. The Icelandic name of this species is Blátsjarna.
