The English pages of this site can be found here.
The Society is the partner designate of BirdLife International in Iceland. The Society became an associate member in 1994 and a representative of BirdLife International in 1998. The Society plays an important role in Iceland in lobbying politicians, decision makers and developers for the benefit of the birds and their habitats; this role will definitely become more important in the future and the Society hopes to gain increased leverage by becoming a partner of BirdLife International. Also, the Icelandic Society for the Protection of Birds has benefited greatly co-operating with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds in Britain.

A great collection of nature photographer Daniel Bergmann on Icelandic birds, mammals and landscapes. On his site he has a schedule of his photo workshops (nature photography on Iceland combined with excursion to remote areas of Iceland and special birding locations). A nice book on Icelandic polar foxes has been published by him (see the bibliography section of this site). Daniel Bergmann also contributed to this Natural History of Iceland site, see e.g. the gyrfalcon.

These pages feature "Tips on where to see several of Iceland's birds", "Icelandic bird news", "Photos of Icelandic birds, and N-American & European vagrants recorded in Iceland." and "Information and status of migrant arrivals in Iceland". The site is maintained by Yann Kolbeinsson.
