BIRDS OF ICELAND : Troglodytes troglodytes, Wren

Troglodytes troglodytes; the Wren is a small bird living in woodlands (birch forests and birch scrubs. The upward pointed tail is very characteristic. Also, this small bird can make a lot of noise, in singing as well as in (emergency) calling. It builds a nest on the ground. As a small bird, the populations are rather vulnerable to harsh winters.
